William Fred Bridgewater was the son of Walter William and Elizabeth Bridgewater of 2 Ashcroft Road, Aintree and attended Longmoor Lane Council School, Fazakerley.
He was lost when the “S.S. Bulgarian” was sunk by a German submarine on the 20th January 1917.
